Welcome to my multimedia porch 🙂
A space for the voices I’ve carried and cared for.
Here, I lay out the stories I’ve gathered as a multimedia/humanitarian storyteller. Beyond a portfolio, this is a living archive where I revisit, restore, and share the work that has shaped my journey over the past seven years (and many more to come)
I am an Indonesian and currently reside in Christchurch, New Zealand. As I finalise this website, July 2025. I have just closed one chapter of my Master’s journey in Strategic Communication. With the help and support of my professors and the wonderful admin team in the Media and Communication Department of the Arts Faculty at the University of Canterbury (plus 7 wonderful pastoral farmers), I have proudly completed my Master’s degree with distinction, truly an honour.
The next few chapters I’m about to share might sound almost too good to be true as part of a complete profile, but I promise, I exist. Fully and realistically :
In 2023, a year before I began my studies, I was living and working in Papua Province, known to many in the international community as West Papua. I led the Social Behaviour Change Communication efforts for UNICEF’s programs. In practical terms, this meant providing interpersonal communication training for health workers, supporting the government with technical guidance for immunisation/vaccination campaigns, and conducting field assessments on communication tools across various sectors, including child protection, education, and malaria prevention. Much of my work focused on empowering families, especially mothers and young people, to access essential services for their children
On the other side, multimedia storytelling has long been my core expertise, tested through years of professional work and, admittedly, long overdue for its own dedicated space. That’s partly why this website was born. Most of the photography, videography, and other visual graphic work featured here was produced during my seven years (2016 to 2022) with the fundraising team at the UNICEF Indonesia Country Office, where I served as a Donor Content Development and UNV Private Sector & Fundraising Communication Officer.
And yes, the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) position was my first official post with the United Nations in 2016.
Since life must go on, and the globe seems to have rotated slightly in an unexpected direction, after completing my Master’s degree in April 2025, I’ve been actively exploring opportunities to enter the workforce in New Zealand. Acknowledging my status as a newcomer to the kiwi job market, I’m open to learning and ready to restart my career journey, albeit coming from a more advanced career background 🙂
It is now 2026 as I update this website. With the global situation becoming increasingly unprecedented for my generation, I have decided to begin a new chapter in my life and pursue independence in my professional expertise. This decision is also driven by my desire to better balance my personal growth alongside my work.
So far, I have taken on regular projects in magazine editorial and graphic design, as well as video production for several organisations in Christchurch. I have also joined freelance platforms such as Upwork, in case you would prefer to connect with me there. I am genuinely excited about this new journey and the opportunities it brings.
In the meantime, while I navigate this new chapter, please feel free to explore the stories I’ve shared on this platform. You might also come across reflections and thoughts from my professional journey, past, present, and in the making.
